I love this plug-in – used it on lots of sites …

When installing on http://www.energizeshanti.com however, it causes the jCarousel in the theme to error out so that the carousel does not load & format correctly. While I understand that this is probably more of a bad behavior of the theme, I am wondering if there is a way to isolate the plug-in so that it does not cause the error. Basically, it is the dreaded “jQuery(…).jcarousel is not a function” error – plug-in code interacting with theme code.

    TIA, Cynthia

Hi Cynthia have you also spoken to the theme developers?

    Kind regards

The theme developer has vanished. I develop sites in frameworks, not themes and this is one of the many reasons, but sometimes I am forced to work on sites that others developed …

That being said, I’ve worked around the issue by separating the Contact Form from the jCarousel by putting the form in the page, rather than the sidebar, then setting the page template for that page to a choice that does not use the carousel. Not exactly what the customer wanted, but at least it works.
