Adding custom style of recent posts

First of all … great plugin! It does what it should. There is always a “BUT”, isn’t it. In my case not spectecular, but I am very interested in overriding the function rpwe_get_recent_posts for my special layout wishes 😉 I know I can do this in the plugin functions, but then I have to go through this annoying process manually with every update. So, is there a workaround or could you consider this in the next updates? Thanks in advance and all the best!
