Adding Custom Variables / Tracking Publication Date

    I found this line in class-frontend.php

    $push[] = "'_setCustomVar',$customvarslot,'year','" . get_the_time( 'Y' ) . "',3";

    and would love changing it to

    $push[] = "'_setCustomVar',$customvarslot,'year','" . get_the_time( 'Ymd' ) . "',3";

    But there has to be a better way without messing with the plugin code….
