Adding front page widgets
-
Hi
Really sorry, I know this question has been asked before but I have spent hours and hours over the last few days reading the forums and articles and I am stuck.
I would like to have three widgets like the sela demo at the bottom of the front page. I have created three pages to link too, added feature images etc. Thank you for your help.
My site is http://www.themeltedmarshmallow.comI have a self hosted site, and I don’t know if it makes a difference but I am trying to do everything on an iPad not a PC so I’m not sure if that makes a difference as I struggle to copy and paste the image urls etc, it’s really hard to access all the text.

ok, incase this helps, I have tried different codes on each widget hoping at least one would work
For the first front page widget this is what I have tried:
<img src=”http://themeltedmarshmallow.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/image-34.jpeg” />
<p>Beautiful blooms to brighten your day !

< img src=”http://themeltedmarshmallow.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/image-15.jpeg”/>
<p>My creations

<img src=”/2016/05/image-3.jpeg” />
Maybe you will find a gem.
Read more →Hi there, you need to apply the Front Page template to your About page that’s set as your homepage, instead of the Full-Width template you currently have. Only the Front Page template will display your Front Page Widgets.
Let me know how it goes!
Thank you so much! can’t believe it was such a simple thing, I have spent days trying to get it to work. Can you see why I can’t get the second widget showing correctly?
Thanks againYou’re very welcome!
Looks like you have a space after the opening < character here so it’s being treated as text instead of an image tag:
< img src="http://themeltedmarshmallow.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/image-36.jpeg" />Remove the space there and I think you should be good to go.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
You’re very welcome – the site is looking good! Feel free to start a new thread if you need help with anything else.
