The tutorial on the website has instructions for how to use shortcode to add the gallery…but how can I add the shortcode if I haven’t yet created the gallery, and thus cannot have an id to put in the shortcode? I tried to create a gallery on a dummy page, thinking maybe it would create it somewhere and I could somehow find the id…but no luck.

I think the tutorial needs more info on the shortcode part, maybe?

My goal here is to be able to add the gallery in a widget to my homepage. My theme won’t let me add content below my header on the homepage unless it’s in a widget, so I need to be able to add this gallery as a shortcode. Seems like I should be able to, but for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to do this. HELP?

    Hello,

Your issue is not really related to the Meow Gallery itself, but maybe how to use shortcodes and the logic behind it, I feel.

Meow Gallery uses the standard shortcode so it’s no different than using the WordPress standard gallery.

You can maybe look for tutorials online, but it’s simple as this:
    https://www.isitwp.com/gallery-shortcode/

    I hope it helps 🙂

    Hello Jordy,
I’m just started with your app and I do not find a solution for showing some folder:
If I use following shortcut, all existing folders are listed on that page :
    <div class="wp-block-photography-core-folders mwt-folders">[mwt-folders folder_id=]</div
    (folder_id= empty).

But if I try to select one or more of my folders, nothing is displayed:
    <div class="wp-block-photography-core-folders mwt-folders">[mwt-folders folder_id="1,2"]</div

How should I select my folders ? What is the correct argument for “folder_id” ?

    Thanks for any help !
    Thomas

Hi @hhgreder, isn’t this linked to Core Photography? This plugin is meant for theme developers, not really to be used as it is. It could, but it’s meant for developers 🙂
