• I’m sorry to bug you all again.

I was thinking, if the “ip_in_range” method in the “plugin.php” file was rewritten to offload the IP parsing to the mlocati/ip-lib library , could this plugin then handle the monitoring of web user-agent devices that only use IP6 or only occasionally use IP4? I’m tempted to try to create a branch of this project that does that. Are they’re any software licensing issues that would prohibit such a branch?

I think I figured out how to use the “mlocati/ip-lib” library to make this plugin recognize and block brute force attacks from both IPv4 and IPv6. I’d like to post and share my changes? Do I have the original plugin author’s permission? May I post my work on my GitHub account?

Shame there doesn’t seem to be anyone monitoring this so called ‘support’ forum. I think your modifications would be most welcome. There’s no guidance of how to add ranges of IPv6 addresses to the whitelist which would be very helpful as I have dynamic IP and I keep getting locked out of my own site due to relentless bot attacks.
