adding link categories

    How do I add additional link categories using the basic wordpress template? Ie. I’d like more than pages , archives , bloggroll . thanks

    First, a note on terminology: Pages and Archives are not “link categories.” “Links” in WordPress often has a very specific meaning, and refers to those set up under the Links Manager (available under Links in WordPress).

    If you want more “Link” categories, you can set them up under Links > Link Categories. Then when adding a link, you can select which category to organize it under.

    Most members use the template tag get_links_list() to display links on their blog organized under each link category. You can learn more about it here:
