• I’m working on a new section in a website which has several new pages and subpages, all have Draft status at this moment. I need to add links to several of these pages from within these Draft pages and from other pages already published. I can’t seem to be able to do this, the pages just don’t show up when I want to add a link.

I tried several code I found, from 7 years ago until this recent one: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/adding-a-filter-to-post_link-to-link-to-draft-posts/

None seem to work in my case. Any suggestions, a plugin perhaps, that can solve this for me?

  • Why not make them published and use something like yoast to make it so that google can not crawl them yet? Just an idea, and probably how I would do it.

That’s an idea, but that would mean non of the other pages are crawled either for some time (days or weeks).

Nevertheless, this is not ideal when working regularly with many draft pages. I wish there was a better way.

No, actually it would not. because yoast and seo plugins let you set this option on a page by page basis.
