Adding New Markers (User Settings)

Our site uses your Maps widget to show distribution points, which are added over time as new distribution points become available. I’ve created an additional WordPress user (an Editor), who does not need access to the full Administrator’s dashboard-backend of the site, to manage the new additions and creating new markers for the map, but noticed that the GME entry on the left of the dashboard is gone under the Editor login, leaving him unable to add new markers or edit any of the exiting (created) map’s settings.
Q: Is it only the WP Administrator who can add/edit maps and markers? Is there no option for lower ranked users (Editors or Authors) to edit or add anything to the map/widget? I would like to have the Editor-user add makers and categories to a created map.
