Adding Plugin-Options in Dashboard

    Hello,
    I’m working on my first plugin, now I’m trying to add a button (Widget?) to my dashboard, where the admin can set up some parameters.

    My question is, how can I add this to the Dashboard?
    I already tried , but the examples didn’t work. Have I been looking there for the right place?

    I’m glad for any help.
