Hi, I just started using wordpress, have my site up and running and things look promising, but there is one thing I cannot resolve and I hope for a little help.

I have eshop plugin and I need to enable “Show Related Products” on some pages and don’t seem to be able to figure out how to do it, even though I spent quite a lot of time googling for resolution. Any helo would be appreciated.

    Elijah.

eShop itself doesn’t have that as a built in option. there are several ways it can be achieved though.

    • fake it – add to each page a shortcode and choose what goes in there
    • find a related posts/pages plugin and use that instead.

Much appreciated, I’ll play around with shortcodes.

The funny thing is… I’m recreating in pilot environment the site that I will need to work on. On the original site every loaded web page has either “Related Products” section or “Related Workshop” – and I can’t figure it out where is it coming from.
Since it appears on every web page – it looks like some setting in template files, but I can’t find it.

Here is what I did so far (on the original site):
    1. Searched files for “?php echo do_shortcode” content starting in the webroot for wordpress installation.
    2. Searched files for content “eshop_shortcode_name” in the webroot for wordpress installation.
    3. Checked the posts themselves – and none of them has shortcodes for related products or workshops

I was thinking if I would be able to locate the configuration on the original site them i would be able to copy or recreate it in my pilot… but I can’t even find the configuration…
I’d appreciate if somebody would give me any pointers

It looks like I mislead you guys and myself as well… the original site that I’m trying to duplicate shows the related articles in every post (not related products)

Any ideas how that could have been configured?

It’s not via eShop. That much I do know. Other than that, all I can say is that it coming from the theme (perhaps via a custom field) or a plugin.
