Adding Retracted Comments Boilerplate Text

    Hi,

    I’d like to add additional functionality to the comments plugin so that when I remove a comment, I can replace it with a placeholder text.

    Something like, “This comment was removed by a moderator because it didn’t abide by our community standards. Replies may also be deleted. For more detail see our FAQs.” Similar to what they have at the Guardian.

    Is there a filter or action that I can hook into to do this easily?

    Hi,

    I looked around and couldn’t find anything specifically that did this. The easiest way I can think of doing this is to manually edit each comment and replace it with that text. Otherwise, you may want to ask here if anyone has anything like that, because it’s not anything that involves Jetpack per se:

    I’m not sure if that’s the best place for this question, but a forum volunteer will likely point you in the right direction if it isn’t.
