Since this plugin was designed to handle digital products, I haven’t included shipping. If possible, I will try to add it in a later release.

I wonder if this is the right plugin for you though. I am sure there are shopping cart and e-commerce plugins that may do the job better for you.

thank you for the response, the woman’s site I am using this on wanted something very simple, I think for her an e-commerce shopping cart may be too much since she is very computer illiterate.

Just one more quick question, I was able to go in to her Paypal account and define shipping costs of $8 for everything so I think this should take care of the problem? Does the plugin more or less just send a message to paypal stating which products have been ordered, then the paypal account does the calculating? thanks.

I don’t think setting a shipping cost on the PayPal account will solve the problem, because IPN handling probably bypasses that setting. But if it does, please let me know.

This plugin (and all IPN software) does more that pointing to an item on your PayPal account and indicate that it is sold. It defines the whole transaction and sends it to PayPal to handle it (which is why I think your setting of the shipping cost will not work).

I will try to include a product specific shipping cost in a future version of the plugin. I think it is a good idea. Thanks for requesting it.
