adding sidebar to twentytwelve theme

Hi there

what i would like to achive is, i’m deregistering the default sidebar, which is id=sidebar-1. in it’s place i’ve created a new sidebar id=sidebar-11. the reason for that is, i want a static sidebar with custom content that must be in afrikaans.so for that i created a template sidebar-main.php. now i need to copy all the relative files from the parent twentytwelve theme to change get_sidebar() to get_sidebar( ‘main’ ). what i need to know, are there a way of doing it without going through all that, maybe some code in the functions file
