Adding tags not working

    I have an installation of wordpress 4.3.1. running – but the ability to add tags isn’t working. I’ve tried different plug ins – both that say they are compatible with this version – but each time I try to enter tags, I get a strange error that displays an “undefined” string along with interspersed – the tags that I actually entered. Ultimately no tags are “kept” by the post.

    Any ideas? Is it really about the plug-in?

    Not sure if it matters, but I also have an inability to get to the “text” tab in the post detail – and haven’t been able to figure out how to make that work.

    I just don’t want to have to re-install wordpress. It’s been complicated getting my posts to import from my previous installation – and I don’t want to redo it all.

    I’ve disabled all plugins now – and of course the same issue remains – the “add tags” module on the right side of the posts page keeps coming up with an “undefined error” when I try and add any tags.

    Any suggestions?
