  • Hi Simon,

Could you please provide us with the link to that page of your site? So that we can take a closer look and offer you with a possible solution.

    Thank you!

Hello, to do this kind of thing, you can use Ocean Hooks and some custom css, or directly create a custom header to have full control on it.

Thanks, how do I go about it?

    1) The Ocean Hooks and custom CSS. I thought the plugin is featured as free but I can’t seem to be able to find the install option for it. Also, what is the CSS code?

    2) Setting up a custom header, e.g. Is Logo a media file and Title, a header or a text box?

    Hello Simonsaidi,

You can go to Theme Panel – My Library – Add New and create header. You can Logo Widget and Navigation Widget there. For the title, you can just your site name beside the logo widget in text field.

Then select Custom Header in Appearance – Customize – Header – General – Style and select Custom Header and select the template you created πŸ™‚

@rajeeb, thanks so much for your response and the link. I kind of did the same except that I used the image widget instead of the logo widget.

Q – any likely impact on SEO – use of image vs logo?

I found using the image was more advantageous as it can be resized not the logo when importing it

Q – how/where do I resize the logo within the app as opposed to fiddling about with the size prior to importing it? Which wp file contains the logo size. I have tried using the inspect in chrome but I cannot seem to identify the wp file to edit.

Thanks once again for your help.

Hello @simonsaidi, if you use the Custom Header Logo widget in your custom header, it is like the normal logo so no problem for SEO.
What logo size do you want? It is easy to resize it with CSS.

    @oceanwp, Thanks for your response.

I wanted to resize, not sure depends on how it looks.

And are you able to give me the CSS code and steps to take to amend?

    Thanks for your help.

Hello, to resize your logo, go to the Header > Logo section of the customizer and add your custom width or height in the Max Width and Max Height settings, with those two settings you can make your logo smaller.
Let me know if it is good.
