    My goal:

    have multiple galleries/folders that only specific people can upload to.

    How do you add users to the list of people that can upload or is it just anyone that is visiting your website would have the ability to upload?

    Can you set gallery/folder specific permissions?

    In ‘basic form layout’ you can restrict registered or guest user.
    There is no option that specific user can view only specified album/gallery.

    BUT

    If you are good at PHP,
    You can use ‘layout editor’ to create ‘personal form layout’. Where pragmatically you can detect user logged in group and show specific album as required.
