Adding your own responsive Ad code to site?

    I currently have responsive Google Adsense code placed in specific Widget Text areas.

    At some point I may want to remove all of the Google Ad code and put my own responsive Ad code for my own products.

    Is there any technical reason or otherwise why this could not be done? The ads would not have anything to do with any ad company or product other than my own. I’m assuming responsive ads similar to those used with Google Adsense are written in Javascript and given the small amount of code are not extremely difficult to create?. Is this correct?
