If you want tio use the default page template, you simply create a publish Pages. If you want to use a custom template, select it from the Template dropdown in Edit Page before you publish the page.
I am using the Dashboard to edit….
Edit Page is an option on the Dashboard menu.
I’ve done that and it’s not working. You can tell by going to my site…www.lkdesigned.com and trying to click on the menu…u just get errors.
What are you using to generate the navigation menu? And why do all of the links end with
.html?what are they supposed to be? I know a little html and that’s it.
Try adding the Pages widget to your sidebar.
didn’t work
In what way didn’t it work? Do you have an widget-capable sidebars in Appearance/Widgets?
are they not supposed to be .html? do I need to change them to .php?
No – they’re not. In what way didn’t the Pages widget work? Do you have an widget-capable sidebars in Appearance/Widgets?
I don’t get it. I put the pages widget to the thing at the side.
Try switching to the TwentyTen theme.
ok I changed it
Now look where your Pages should be listed in the horizontal navigation menu. Under
index.php. there’s a mixture of file names (html and php) and page names! How on earth are you adding these “pages”? It looks like you have 2 issues:1. Your original theme is broken – perhaps by incorrect template file editing
2. You appear to be adding pages in a very non-standard way that simply does not work in WordPress.
