Can you share a bit more info? Which blocks are you adding the classes to? What theme and other plugins do you have active?
Also, can you confirm that the classes not saving only occurs when EditorsKit is enabled?

This applies to all blocks. I am using generatepress theme.

But we found the solution, Simply adding the class and saving it will not work. You need to press the enter key after adding the class so that it will be picked up.
