I’m insanely sorry. I just found this thread even though I’m subscribed to emails. I’ll try to look at this this weekend.

Hi,
No problem, and thanks for having a look!
John
I think it’s theme related. I don’t have a PC, but I checked out a few sites I know have it in Browserstack in Win10,Win8 FF, and no duplication.
Do you have it on a public site I can check out?

Here’s an example:
http://www.raildig.com/raildig-guest/walter-vail-showcase-miniatures-nn3-shay/
I’m on a PC, Firefox, Windows XP.
It is a fairly old theme at this point so it’s very possible this is the cause.
It’s not a PC/Mac issue. I was able to duplicate this error on your site using Chrome.
There’s something fishy going on. Like, something is adding something to the URL I spit out.
<a href="https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.raildig.com%2Fraildig-guest%2Fwalter-vail-showcase-miniatures-nn3-shay%2F&text="there"" onclick="javascript:window.open('https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?url=%url%&text=%text%'); return false;"><i class="fa fa-twitter"></i> Tweet</a>
You’ll see the onclick event. That’s what’s causing the pop-up. Something is adding that in. Not sure if it’s the theme. Maybe a plugin.
There’s not much I can do to troubleshoot this further except advise you to try switching themes, disabling plugins, etc. Which is a pain, I know, plus there is a chance you can break things further.

Hi,
I do appreciate you having a look at this, really nice of you! I’m going to disable this plugin rather than, as you mention, run a risk of breaking something else.
As it is an older theme, I’ll probably keep things as they are until I move to a new responsive theme.
Again thank you very much for your effort.
John
I’m afraid that is the best solution probably! 😀
You can try a very similar plugin that might work. https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/quotable/screenshots/

I’ll have a look at that one, thanks!
