We have tried replicating the issue you are reporting but we are unable to reproduce it. When we add gallery images to a Google Shopping feed all works fine.
This is the attribute mapping you need to do:

We have just pushed out a new release of the plugin that makes this work for both simple AND variable products.
Just update to the latest version of the plugin and you should be fine.

Why is there 2 picture limit for the additional images. My feed contains shoes and there are normally 4 images at a minimum in addition to the primary image. Please take a look below for any example.

Please update to the latest version, 3.5.9 (released today), it should solve the issue at hand.
