I’d like to make sure that the header image on this page is shown in full height. Or at least not cutting off heads. Down to the waist would be acceptable. 🙂

I am not sure where to go to make this happen.

I also would like to have a menu item that links to the photo gallery (there will be a lot of older people navigating this page and I want to make it as simple as possible for them.

    Thanks!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hey there @traypup – part of the problem here is that you’re trying to display a vertically oriented (i.e. portrait oriented) image in a space in your theme that is designed to display a landscape oriented image. (More about portrait vs. landscape orientation.)

I’d suggest (1) making a copy of the image, then (2) crop your copy of the image in a graphics program first to turn it into a landscape oriented image. If you’re on a Mac, there’s cropping built into Preview.

Upload your cropped version of the image again in the Header area and let me know how that goes.

    To answer your second question:

I also would like to have a menu item that links to the photo gallery (there will be a lot of older people navigating this page and I want to make it as simple as possible for them.

You can do that by creating a menu item that links to https://tomandmarge.halibut.com/#bwg_container1_0 which will take folks directly to the panel on your front page that contains the gallery. Here’s some info on how to create a menu in this theme, if you’ve never done it before. 🙂 Let me know how it goes!
