    Good Day,

My site is still in the configuration stages, however, there has been a large number of pageviews on the admin ajax php page. This has sent up my CPU and resulted in my hosting provider disabling the site. I upgraded the host plan, but the problem still persists.

I also disabled all plugins but I am still not clear on what might be causing the issue.
I am not a developer so I am really not sure what is causing the issue.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Can you run the health check plugin and report back its results?

Also, may I suggest using a database monitor plugin to find out which plugin is being heavy on the database?

Thanks for your response, I tried what you suggested:
    1. The site health results were good
    2. The query database – I am not sure how to interpret what I am seeing. I looked under duplicate queries and saw that there was a list of “troublemakers” SG-cachepress; wordfence; woocommerce and js-composer being the top one.
I did have couple concerns based on what my hosting has explained / suggested, I updated the package and in 3 days I was told the CPU was at 80% again and noted that the only updates I did to site was add 3 blog posts with images and most plugins were off. My site has not been officially launched, so I am really confused about that as there should be no activity on the site really other than my editing.
I also noticed that they highlighted the admin panel as a potential script for CPU usage. I would naturally need to make updates to my site, is it normal for the admin panel to deplete the CPU. I am asking because I have been working on this site since last November and this issue of depleting CPU begun in May, there was a sudden spike with no major change on my part.
And finally, do you think the issue could be with the hosting themselves maybe an overload on their servers?
Thanks again for any help extended.

is it normal for the admin panel to deplete the CPU.

That’s not normal, unless there’s something running every time you open the admin panel

And finally, do you think the issue could be with the hosting themselves maybe an overload on their servers?

It could be, but I strongly suggest to find out the sudden spike when you use the admin panel
