Admin Failure

After the last update I have lost my whole menu. I had to go into the ftp to delete the plugin and then everything is back to normal. Everytime I try to reinstall I lose the entire menu again. I can’t get to the settings to make any changes. There is something, somewhere that needs to be clear or deleted so I can start over. HELP!
