Something else is up. It looks the same on single and multi for me. I’d start with plugins and themes.
You are probably right … except it seemed theme / subsite independent …
Got anything in mu-plugins? Got any plugins network wide activated?
One of them is probably the culprit. Turn em off. (and yeah, that sucks)
OK switching to Blue admin theme seems to fix it
noticed it affects the ‘howdy admin’ drop down menu too
uploaded a fresh admin css and tried to replicate on a different ms with same plugins (no luck)
deactivating all network / mu-plugin folder ones, one at a time not worked so far …
Do all the plugins in bulk. Just rename the plugins and mu-plugins folders.
Also, TRY the Twenty Eleven thenme, just to rule that out.
i think this was some caching problem, most likely in in the mu-plugins, as it all seems to be hunky dory now after transiently renaming that pesky mu-plugins folder …
rename some o the plugins in the to be .txt instead of .php that’ll turn each one off and you can narrow down which one it was.
yup, got it, just not sure why though … (the old supporter plugin – I must replace it when I have time to research a different solution).
