1. At the moment, the only ways to edit the content of that email would be to either, as the strings are localized, create a new translation (i.e. using a program like Poedit) or to edit it directly in the plugin code. This email is generated in the “Process_Front_End_Forms.php” file in the “Functions” folder.
2. Do you mean for a specific user? How are you trying to extend the period? If, in the back end, you go to the “Users” tab and click on a user, you can manually change their “Account Expiry Date” there. Is that what you’re looking to do?
2. Kind of – some payment plans are for periods outside of the admin range i.e. 3 years renewed after that period when I try to edit the time frame of a specific user I end up with the 1970 date. In other words is it possible to customise the expiry date outside of the range to allow for product variants.
I also need some form of guidance as per another post concerning the user search results being erratic and bringing results back way outside of the search criteria.
Can you let us know exactly where and how you are trying to extend the date that is getting set to 1970? We’re still not sure exactly what you’re changing and what’s not working.
I’ve disabled all payments now through the plug-in and use PayPal direct so expiry is not an issue on that. It’s just odd that a member cannot be set an expiry date for their membership. Additionally I’m still waiting for some form of resolution to the user search pulling back a random assortment of users against specific search criteria. Please.
The 1970 default was when changing a user’s account expiry from 2018 to 2020. I tried this on a couple of them with the same results.
Just found the help with shortcodes is not working again! What is the exact syntax please? I’ve tried variants of it and none of them work.
Type the shortcode as you normally would, then, instead of the closing bracket, just type a space and then the word help. Just like:
[user-search help
