Admin Login Disabled. See Parse Error: Syntax Error
-
I work for The Manhattan Front, a World War I Centennial project that uses hosting with Network Solutions: http://www.themanhattanfront.com
On Saturday, when I tried to log in to the admin, I noticed the site seemed to be down. When I put in the URL, all I saw was a white screen.
When I tried to log in, I saw this error message:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘Menu’’ (T_STRING) in /data/23/3/0/43/3652695/user/4063268/htdocs/WordPress/wp-content/themes/german-newspaper/functions.php on line 8
These conditions remain unchanged. We have scoured the forums, tested out multiple FTP solutions, but have not had any luck. Our profile is entirely disabled so I created a personal profile to have a way to post this topic.
I have spoken with Network Solutions, thinking it was a problem with our FTP Client, but after troubleshooting with them multiple times, they continue to say the problem seems to be on the WordPress end.
What can we do to get the website back up and running as soon as possible?
