Admin no longer contactable

    This article lists several completely different ways to reset your password. Any one of them will work and do the job. Find the one that’s right for you and use that: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/article/resetting-your-password/

    Read the section on PHPMYADMIN, then look in the wp_users table for the admin user. Change its password and login as them. Promote your other login to an admin (or create a new admin user).

    You shall also consider to contact your webhost and domain registrar to ensure that your site will continue running and will not expire due to unpaid hosting plan or domain.
    If you dont have login/password for hosting (and/or registrar) control panels, consider to contact them as organization and settle that issue.

    Thank you for the replies – much appreciated 🙂

    I cannot reset password as we don’t have the email address that was used for the admin account and we cannot contact the guy who set it up.

    So I’m stuck with our current login which has no admin rights.

    Checked with hosting company and website still up and running and ok.

    Please read the link I posted above; use PHPMYADMIN to examine the wp_users table and reset the password for the admin account.
