Since updating to v3.0.1 from v2.3, I can’t save any settings in the admin side. I can make changes, but when I click save it does nothing and when I go back to the page nothing has saved. There appears to be nothing happening after clicking any of the ‘Save’ buttons in the plugin.

Hello, do settings actually get saved, or is the issue that your settings aren’t reflected on your home page?

If the issue is that your front-end pages aren’t showing any changes, make sure you have cleared your caches, both on your site (if you have a caching plugin of any kind) and also your browser.

If the issue is that your settings aren’t getting saved, the first step I’d suggest is to install my WP Safe Mode plugin, disable all other plugins and switch your theme temporarily to a default WP theme and see if that helps. With WP Safe Mode you can do this without actually deactivating/switching anything for everyone else.

    Hi Marcus:

The actual settings aren’t being saved from the admin side in the ‘Meta Tag Manager’ settings pages.

I just installed your WP Safe Mode plugin, set the theme to a WP default and just had WP Safe Mode and Meta Tag Manager active for plugins. When I accessed the Meta Tag Manager settings and clicked the ‘Save Changes’ button it still doesn’t do anything; nothing gets saved and there are no messages or anything happening.

Note sure if this is a possible cause, but checked the web developer console and I get the following error:

Uncaught ReferenceError: selected_value is not defined [options-general.php:875:6]

Actually, that might be a clue… have you made sure you’ve selected a value for all the select boxes? There’s a couple that may need a value for some browsers, and in the ones I tested it natively shows a popup on the select box saying to select a value.

We’ll fix this in the next update but by choosing a value I think it’ll work for you.

I’ve reproduced the problem, your clue helped, just released 3.0.2 with the fix.

Please confirm if this fixes the issue, thanks!

Thank you! I just updated the plugin and the save buttons are working
