How is that different than the published date (or last modified date for drafts) that’s already there?
Hi!
A post creation date is different from the modified or published date. It’s that one that I need.
(Sorry, didn’t get any mail notification telling me that you guys have answered!)
Hi! Anyone have some tip for this?
Thanks, @bdbrown
But the problem is POST CREATION DATE is not set by WordPress. It does not exist.
So this plugin doesn’t list it.
You should store the date in a Custom Field, and then you could read it, for instance from Admin Columns plugin.
You could also use Revisions to *guess* the creation date, as seen here: https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/177065/how-to-get-post-creation-date

We totally agree with @fabiorochafg . WordPress needs a variable for Original Post Creation Date. When a post is created in draft mode, then published later, we have several clients who would like to still know when it was originally created.
I can create a custom field for this using ACF or Toolset of whatever, but then either the poster has to enter the date or we have to find a way to assign the current date automatically. Whereas the WordPress database certainly knows when the original creation date was, or if it overwrites that info when it’s modified, it would be great to have a new field we-all can access with a function call.
