• Having trouble accessing full admin privileges to the WP site.

Keep receiving “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.” and “RSS Error: WP HTTP Error: Operation timed out after 10000 milliseconds with 33304 bytes received”

    Any information will be appreciated.

Sounds like a file permission error…

On which page are you receiving the error? ALL admin pages or …?

What operating system is your server/pc running the blog under.. Windows/Linux?

Also, see if this info helps: http://markjaquith.wordpress.com/2006/03/28/wordpress-error-you-do-not-have-sufficient-permissions-to-access-this-page/

The company website is an Enfold theme.

All of the admins are able to log in to access the site but only the Dashboard setting.

We no longer have privilege to add new pages/posts or edit anything.

There isn’t even a listing of current plugins, updates or way to upload a script. The entire left sidebar of the Admin page is gone.

I have checked with GoDaddy and they state it is a WordPress issue.

    Any suggestions?

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

If it is a theme issue then I’m sorry but as you appear to be using a commercial theme, you will need to seek support from the theme’s developer/vendor. We do not support commercial products here.

We deactivated all plugins two days ago and the site was running fine.

I reactivated plugins to find the problem.

Now we have absolutely no access to even see our plugins.

All we can see is “Dashboard Activity
    See 3 more…

    You are using bbPress 2.5.3-5249.”

We are denied access to all of the website.

    Try:
    – switching to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

There is no way for me to access any of the theme.

Is it possible to be locked out of admin privileges?

If so, how can we regain access?

    @lauren Brajer:
You do not need to access the admin to attempt all the troubleshooting steps recommended by Esmi.

    Please read Esmi’s instructions again.
