First off, we really like the plugin… the interface in the edit screen is clean and intuitive; same for the setting screen, and although the setting screen contains a lot of configuration, the ability to do row/column/sub-column selections/de-selections is very powerful. The result is I can turn off dozens of plugins, leave just a few on a basic page, and it loads fast! End result is nice!

This all said, I am running into a few issues on the Admin Screens where we would welcome your collaboration:

    1. Entering the edit screen is now a bit slower for a page, and then, causes Divi Builder to subsequently load slowly (10+ sec), then eventually load in totality. Typically, the builder just loads with the edit screen fairly quickly.

    2. Saving a page (or post) now takes a very long time (20-30+ sec). Turn the plugin off, its saves in a normal time fairly quickly.

    3. The only way I can get into the Freesoul Deactivate Plugins settings screen is if I deactivate a bunch of plugins (which sorta defeats the purpose); but, once you are in the settings screen, again, nice job, works like a charm.

We do have a lot of plugins; but hey, this is why we are looking to use your plugin! And, we do use Custom Post Types somewhat heavily within our application, WooCommerce Products, etc., so the setting page grid (posts x plugins) is pretty extensive, not to mention the flexibility and detail you provide re categories, product attributes, etc…

We would welcome having you take a look at your plugin in our site regarding the 3 points above.

    Thank you, Mike

Hi @mikenewman. I’m very happy you are using Freesoul Deactivate Plugins.
It’s strange that the back-end is slower because this plugin is really light both on the back-end and on the front-end. The only operation that could require more time is the saving process on the general control panel. The single page saving process is really light.

Have you tried with exactly the same plugins but with the default WordPress theme? Does the problem occurs both on front-end Divi editor and back-end normal editor?

In any case we will be happy to help you, and if you say this, I’m confident it’s something we can detect and improve.
But you should send me your login and FTP data.
Of course not here, you can send it to [email protected].

@mikenewman thank you for your email. When you have an high number of posts, a so high number of plugins, and a not powerful server, the back-end could be slow. I have seen that in your case Freesoul Deactivate Plugins is really slowing down the back-end. We are working on a new version. We have already seen that the back-end is a lot faster now, but we need some days to complete and test all, soon we will publish the update. I’ve speed up the single editing page, but for the general control panel you should wait until the update is ready (in few days).
