    Hi,

Thanks for the plugin, Its working great!

Just had a question relating to the email sent to the admin of the website when the user decides to self-delete their account.

Whenever that happens, the details sent are the following:

This is to notify you that a user has successfully deleted their account from the website. Below are the details:

    User ID:
    Username: Anonymous
    Email: [email protected]

Is it supposed the send the actual username and email of the user who decided to self-delete but for some reason the email sent are exactly as above so we can’t identify who self-deleted their account.

    Please advise

    Hi @bytesurge,

This depends on the type of user deletion you’ve set in wpForo > Settings > Login & Registration admin page.

User Delete Method: Choose which method to use when user delete action comes. [Soft] option will not remove any content this user has already created. It’ll only remove the user with all account information. The posts’ author name will be changed to “Anonymous ID”. [Hard] option will remove the user data and any content this user has already created.

This could also be user specific issue, the user changes his name or email before deleting it. So please try yourself to make sure this is not a user specific issue. At this moment I’m testing it and don’t see such problems.

After testing and making sure you have this problem, please report a bug here: https://wpforo.com/community/

    Hi @gvectors-team,

Thanks for getting back to me. So does this mean, the admins has no idea who deleted their account with the soft option too?

Upon your testing, it sent an email right? does it have the details who deleted their account?

    Hello,

Thank you for reporting this issue. We’d like to let you know that the problem has already been fixed and the solution will be included in the next wpForo version update. Once you update to the upcoming release, everything should work fine.
