adoptive filtering issue

Hi, we are running the free version of the plugin and i checked all documentation and 3rd parties which show that there is an option called “adoptive filtering. We need this so that the filters showing are relative to the products showing so that when a user clicks on a filter it is 100% they are seeing results coming up.

Is this feature only in the paid version that is why we can’t see the option to turn it on?
At the moment when we select filters mosto of the time we are getting “No products were found matching your selection.”

Any help will be much appreciated
