  • what method are you using to add adsense?

if you are using a plugin, which one exactly?

does a space holder for the adsense appear?

what is the html code of a single post in the browser?
does it show the adsense code?

can you post a live link to s single post where you expect to see the ad?

does the adsense show if you temporarily switch to the default theme Twenty Thirteen?

A bit late, but I had the same problem.

I suspect you’re trying to use widgets to show the Adsense ads?

Look carefully at the descriptions on the widgets and you’ll see most of them won’t display on single posts at all. It’s the one thing I find annoying about this otherwise top-class theme!

You can use widgets on other pages by selecting one of the “front page” templates for them. However I notice the bottom widget still appears right at the bottom of the sidebar, instead of at the bottom of the text – probably too far down to be effective as an ad, if your text is much shorter than the sidebar.

Not sure how I missed this one… anyway, when and if using widgets for this, you want to use a plugin called Dynamic Widgets which lets you publish them on select locations, such as single posts. However, you also want to make sure that the widget position you want to show it in is available where you need it to show.

If using embedded code in the theme file and not in a widget, my question would be where are you trying to put the code?
