In the Adv. Navigation, you can change the menu orientation to horizontal, vertical for the desktop/tablet/mobile breakpoints but the setting doesn’t not carry over to other languages in WPML, only the default language.

    Hi there!

Glad you reached out to us. I’m here to help.

There are options to use the WPML Translation Editor or the WordPress Editor.

The first one will let you translate texts only so I am assuming that you’re using the latter so I can duplicate the content and edit them manually on the other languages. Here’s how it worked for me: https://share.zight.com/9ZupqJDb

As you have watched, the orientation values for desktop, tablet, and mobile were carried over correctly. I did have a style change that I wasn’t able to save before adding a translation so it was not carried over (navigation color).

Could you ensure you save changes first before adding a translation? It might be the issue on your end too.

If I did the translation differently, let me know. I’m happy to assist you further until resolution.

Thanks for the video. That’s what I did but the translation does not load the orientation settings on the frontend.

I created a Kadence Navigation and use it in a Kadence Header which is in all my templates.

I have the navigation settings set to the following:

    English – Desktop
    Orientation: Horizontal
    Horizontal Item Spacing: 12px
    Vertical Item Spacing: 8px

    English – Tablet/Mobile
    Orientation: Vertical
    Horizontal Item Spacing: 12px
    Vertical Item Spacing: 8px

This works for the main language (english) but for french it is using “em” value instead of “px”. I believe this is a bug.

    French – Desktop
    Orientation: Horizontal
    Horizontal Item Spacing: 12em
    Vertical Item Spacing: 8em

    French – Tablet/Mobile
    Orientation: Vertical
    Horizontal Item Spacing: 12em
    Vertical Item Spacing: 8em

    Hi @jinsley8 !

    Thanks for the additional details!

I edited my Navigation(Adv) posts with the same settings as yours. My default WPML language is also English.

You can watch my long screencast in here for the translations that I did: https://share.zight.com/kpuxyrd6

    • I translated the navigation post using WordPress Editor
    • I translated the navigation post using WPML Translation Editor option too

Did I missed on any replication step? Let me know so I can better assist you with this.
