Advaced css field not saving classes

on dev, we’re using an Underscores theme with basic Gutenberg blocks; we add columns, for example, then go to the Advanced tab, enter a css class, and save; but it doesn’t save the class, as soon as we refresh, the Additional CSS Classes field is empty again .. ? thanks
