Advanced Custom Fields causes wordpress comments to be closed

    Hi There,

    The comments are showing as ‘comments are closed’ when I include the comments template. I have checked and double checked all comments and relevant check boxes are checked or unchecked etc in the discussion settings. When I disable advanced custom fields the comments work. clearly a conflict between wordpress comments and ACF.

    Has anyone else encountered this and can anyone suggest a solution? Any help would be appreciated
