• Hi,

I have been using this plugin for a long time, back in the day Chris was the developer and he gave me some really great instructions back then that dealt with blog security…

Thus I always setup my sites with this plugin and always change the Content Directory straight out of the gate before I do anything else (you really have to do this straight away as it can cause issues if you dont)

I have now setup a localhost on my computer so I can redo some of my wordpress sites without effecting the actual site on the net..

I have been playing about to see if it can be done with this plugin (as I figured it might prevent this was happening, as it doesnt play well with duplication).

I have realized that if I have changed the content directory (in the advanced settings) and then upload a blog to the sever it fails. This is because there are local host settings in place of the content directory in the wp-config file.

Thus if I alter these settings manually and add the actual server information and http etc after I upload the site to the net the site then comes back up and all appears good.

    My question is this..

Is this the only location in a file that needs altering?

Does anyone know of any other potential issue with this plugin when setting it up on a local host before uploading the completed site to the web.

I have not seen anything apart from this first big issue, but I would hate to recreate a whole site and see an issue that will cause more work..

I have been playing about with this for a few days and I am not seeing any other issue apart from having to untick and reselect x amount of the features to have them come back up..
