• Hello,

    Problem description

I’ve done a lot of research into categories and tags but I need specific advice about how to use these for my website.

My website is all about helping people to learn Japanese and Korean through Japanese and Korean TV.

    What is the content?

Each technique I use has a different instruction. The instructions never change (it’s the same for each language) so I’ll turn these into pages and not posts.

In the actual blog posts I do the techniques with actual examples. The content will be different each time (it’s NOT the same for each language).

    How to categorize the content?

Here’s where I get a bit confused about how to categorize the content.

    Do I:

    Create categories/tags for each language?

    Create categories/tags for each technique?

Create categories/tags for each TV show? (I want users to be able to search by TV show. Obviously this could become a long list because of the amount of TV shows I’ll be referring to)

    Megan

  • I would make categories for language, since most people would want to learn one language. Under each language I would put the techniques. Then use the TV shows as tags. You can add whatever other useful labels you think of as tags also.

The theme can show the post navigation links by the default (next and previous based on query), but there is also an option to stay in the same taxonomy (category by default).
