    Hi,

Wonderful plugin – one that I’ve used for years!

However, I need to know if there’s a way around this one –

For some time now, I’ve been getting these random emails (like the ones from these backlink tools that create emails in order to create accounts and try to leave backlinks) which usually have ‘domain names’ such as ‘@e.barbie.com’, ‘@f.barbie.com’, ‘@a.barbie.com’.

I can go through these one by one no problem and delete each new domain and it’s prefix. BUT, is there a way to smash them ALL out of sight with one entry?

    Block .barbie.com

That’s highly unlikely to catch other people. Sadly you’ll stil have to block each new one, which is why I use Akismet and enforced first post moderation. Remember this plugin isn’t so much a spam catcher but a way to stop repeat idiots.

Thanks, I’ll try that out tomorrow.

It’s also about time I dusted off Akismet!
