Affiliate link tracking/clicks

Hi,

I have a query about the tracking and registering of affiliate links through the .csv upload.

Today I did a .csv upload of 30 affiliate links and the affiliate advertising service registered 120 clicks and around 150 views almost immediately after this. The site has only recently launched so there were no visitors to the site during this time. As these clicks are not user clicks, they must be directly linked to the .csv upload.

Is it possible that as the links are uploaded through the server from the .csv file they are being tracked and registered as viewed/clicked?

If so, is there any way we can prevent this from happening, so that the registered clicks are accurately reflective of user clicks?
