• Hi!

I feel like I’m going down a rabbit hole of information for something really simple, so I’ll ask here in this forum: I have an online course. I also have (just one) friend who wants to be my affiliate. So I don’t want a huge program or anything at the moment.

I want to advertise the course myself and have her be my affiliate. So we would need to know, who responded to her ads or posts and who responded to mine. Is there a very simple way to setup an affiliate link for her?

Thank you very much in advance!!

  • Hi @martin177

Some themes online course themes comes with affiliate program support. Please contact your theme support to see if they have such modules.

Otherwise, you can check out WordPress repo: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/search/affiliate+program/

Please let me know if it helps.

    Thanks!

Hi Sajith, thank you so much for your reply.

Unfortunately I’m no closer to understanding what I need to do. I use OceanWP and as far as I know (searched) it doesn’t have its own affiliate plugin.

I fully understand the the marketing side of things, but not the technical side: so my problem is that I don’t understand what an affiliate code is, what a referral link is or where I have to insert what. So I’m just as lost as before.

This plugin: Really Simple Affiliate Program By Maplespace Inc. looks pretty simple, but then there are zero instructions and therefore it must be easy to set up, but I seem to be lacking the general knowledge of the inner workings of a referral or links and what not… am I staring at the forest, but cannot see the trees?
