My customer sent me this email. Is there a different link she is supposed to give her referred customers as this link just takes them to the become an affiliate page.

Here is the affiliate link I was sent: [ redundant link deleted ]

It just takes my clients to a page for them to sign up as an affiliate. Is this correct or do I need to be sent a different link? It is for Deborah E & Chuck Z.

I also want to make sure the link is correct that I add to my website.

    Hey @glasslessmirror,

Thank you for reaching out! The link you’ve shared is a valid one, however, I’m guessing that you’d like to redirect referred visitors to your homepage, not the affiliate registration page.

If so, please make sure to leave the “Affiliate Default Referral URL” option from SliceWP > Settings > General > Pages Settings empty. This way, the default referral URL that will be shown to affiliates in their affiliate account will be the one for the homepage.

I’d also recommend you to create a test account (as suggested by this article: https://slicewp.com/docs/troubleshooting/#create-test-affiliate) and test the affiliate account page to see what referral links are shown by default to affiliates. Please make sure to adapt the default referral link to your needs.

    Thank you and best wishes,

    Mihai

I removed the Affiliate Default Referral URL, but when I click on the customer affiliate link it still reverts to the Affiliate registration page.

    Please kindly advise.

    Hey @glasslessmirror,

Can you please let me know where is the “customer affiliate link” shown within your site?

If you click on the link you’ve shared in your previous message, then yes, it will lead to the affiliate registration page, which is correct, as the affiliate registration page’s link was set as a referral link. Any link from your website, if it has the referral tracking data in it, is considered a referral link.

However, if you have the link outputted somewhere in your site, or within an email you send, please make sure the output of the link is not hardcoded to the affiliate registration page.

Furthermore, if you’re still struggling with this, please open a support ticket via our website (here: https://slicewp.com/contact/) and share more information about the issue, sharing also a few screenshots from your website so that we have a visual of the situation. Once we know more, we might be able to better guide.

    Thank you and best wishes,

    Mihai
