• I am moving my blog from free wordpress to Bluehost. After importing the blog, most posts appear to be fine, but some of them show only an image (no content) onclick of the permalink. I can find the post in the posts lists in wordpress and the content is there and says it is published; however, it doesn’t display on the page.

    My blog is SumptuousSpoonfuls.com.

Here’s an example of one of the posts that is displaying only an image, no content: http://www.sumptuousspoonfuls.com/ihop-style-buttermilk-pancakes/

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress.

Thank you for your suggestions! No, I haven’t tried any of those things.

I doubt that it would be a problem with the theme because I’m using the same theme I was using on free wordpress.

I will have to try deactivating the plugins later in the evening or at a time when there isn’t much traffic on my blog because deactivating the plugins will make some of the recipes disappear. Also, changing the theme would really be a shock to my visitors.

When you say a “fresh” download of WordPress, do you mean I should reinstall wordpress, or re-upload the xml file I exported from my old blog?

Neither. I meant that you need to download another copy of WordPress and re-upload the core files and folders – except the wp-content folder.

I didn’t install it that way … I used the one-click install on Bluehost. So I downloaded a copy of WordPress and I have a question … if I upload these files, will it screw up the theme or plugins that I have set up?

I tried disabling/re-enabling the plugins. That didn’t work. I tried re-uploading the core wordpress files. That didn’t work either.

I really don’t want to mess with the theme. It is the exact same theme I was using on free wordpress. Any other suggestions?
