After installing the plugin, I wanted to reconnect again to /wp-admin but the normal login page of /wp-admin got replaced by the login form of the plugin.

I tried to use my login and password of /wp-admin but it says “Error: You’ve entered an invalid combination of username and password”.

Impossible to relogin. How can I get back to the normal /wp-admin page?

    Hi

First, the plugin won’t have changed your login or password so I would suggest just double-checking that you’ve entered your details correctly (try using your user name not your email address).

Second, you should be able to reset your password if necessary by clicking the ‘Forgot password’ link under the log-in form.

Third, if the first two options fail, you can FTP to your plugins folder and remove the wp-discussion-board folder.

Fourth, if you still have problems, contact me on [email protected] and I will help.

I usually use my email address as login so I don’t really know my username.

What are the steps to do third solution? (remove wp-discussion-board folder)

    Thanks.

Did you try step 2 for the password reset? You’ll get an email with a link to click. The url for the link will include ‘login=YourUserName’ at the end. That’s your user name that you can use to log in.

For step 3, do you have FTP access to your site? If so, go to wp-content/plugins and delete the wp-discussion-board folder.

I already asked for password reset yes. I found the username like you said but it still says that my password and username are invalid combination (I tried with old and new password).

I have FTP access yes. I will delete the plugin folder.

Okay I deleted and it’s back to normal now.

Okay, great. If you reinstall the plugin, ensure you have the ‘Hide WP Login?’ option deselected in Discussion Board > Settings > General tab. This will use the standard WordPress log-in form.
