Hi, I just applied wordpress updates to 2 of my websites today. Now none of my forms are working (contact form v 5.9). I tested the WP Mail SMTP and received those emails and wanted to make sure it wasn’t this plugin causing the issue.

When I fill out the forms and click submit I receive an error “There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later.” — when I log into the website, I took a look at the contact form 7 forms area, it looks like ALL of the ID’s of my forms are different (ex: [contact-form-7 id=”bd8db3a” title=”Contact form”]). When I go to the actual page I have the contact form code on I had this code: [contact-form-7 id=”168″ title=”Contact form”]. On both websites, it appears that the ID changed. When I change the page code to the new form ID code it still does not work. I have also removed the [captcha] field on the form, it is still not sending.

Also strange, when I fill out the form and click submit it is adding a string of text to the end of the url (https://mysite.com/contact/#wpcf7-f172-p169-o2). It never did that before.

Is anyone else experiencing a similar issue?

Hi! I see there was an update to the plugin today. After updating my forms work great 🙂 Thank you

My forms are no longer working after update Version 5.9.2, same error. “Failed to send your message. Please try later or contact the administrator by another method.” Update after further testing: Error seems to be intermittent. Forms work (but not 100%.) May be my slow shared hosting, caching or that I have to run the plugin WP Mail Smtp – SMTP7.
