    Hello,

I’ve recently updated plugin from version (not sure but I think v9x) to latest v15x and I see this error. I have to stress out that DB has all rights to write (create, modify tables). Can you share what sql query should I run now?

Also, when we updated, my client notified me that all meta titles/descriptions had disappeared from posts, so he entered them again!

Can I somehow create this column target_indexable_id and not mess this newly entered data?

    Thanks for any help!

We understand you are concerned with a database error appearing. We can see how this might give you pause. We are happy to take a look! Let’s see what is going on.

    1. Can you confirm you are using WordPress 5.6? You can check by clicking on the W in the top left and selecting About. If you need to update, please check with your host provider. Please know that if you are using an older version of WordPress Core you may experience unexpected behavior with Yoast. This guide explains more: https://yoast.com/why-we-dont-support-old-wordpress-versions/.

    2. Are all your non-Yoast plugins and themes also updated?

    3. If you use the Yoast Helper Tool does the issue resolve? Please try the steps below:
    i. Install & activate the Yoast Test Helper plugin: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/yoast-test-helper/
ii. Go to Tools -> Yoast Test
iii. Locate the Yoast SEO section and select the “Reset indexables tables & migrations” button
iv. Click the “SEO Data” button in the SEO->Tools section.

We look forward to your reply.

    1) correct v5.6
    2) correct all themes, only Yoast active (others updated – but not active)
    3) just installed it, activated, run “Reset index…” button, run that optimizer and now “SEO data optimization complete” – and no errors in queries — column was added 🙂

Thank you very much – this is good info to know and maybe good place to save in your KB?

    cheers, Kresimir
