    Hi @jantom,

    It looks like you have disabled REST API access for non-logged in users.

    Whenever the plugin attempts to update the views count of a post or a page your site responds with a 401 Forbidden error message:

    {"code":"restx_logged_out","message":"Sorry, you must be logged in to make a request.","data":{"status":401}}

    Since you’re using the Disable REST API plugin by Dave McHale I’d say it’s a pretty safe bet to say that that’s what’s causing the problem.

    See: Is WordPress Popular Posts compatible with security / firewall plugins?

    No. I completely bypass it and nothing and BTW it’s worked before summer and I hade this REST API already installed.
    Any ideas for another plug-in?

    WOW – I have it!
    Disable XML-RPC-API
    This “little shit” πŸ˜‰ – I played with it more than two months…
    Thanks a lot, I appreciate your help – your debug helped me and what to look for in the console.
    ThanksJan

    No idea unfortunately. The only plugin from your active plugins list that seems to block access to the REST API is Disable REST API.

    Try following this troubleshooting guide and see if you can figure out what’s causing this issue. Alternatively, you may also want to consider reaching out to your web developer / the people who maintain your website and ask them for assistance with this.

    Edit: oh, that’s… odd. From the name I would think that “Disable XML-RPC-API” only blocked the XML-RPC API, why would it mess with the JSON API? Anyways, you’re right, WordPress Popular Posts is tracking visits again!
